The genesis of Earth Travellers spawn from the collaboration of Jay Mothersill and Peter Whaley, two avid adventurers from Canada. When their passions collided over 15 years ago, they decided to share their love of the outdoors with the rest of the world.  Between the two, they add over 50 years of experience in the world of adventure travel. Their collective vision is to offer authentic adventure tours which will leave you with a true sense of the cultural and physical landscape unique to the countries travelled with an underlying dedication to sustainable travel.

WHY Leave Home With Earth Travellers?

There are thousands of travel companies throughout the world and it can become challenging to differentiate between them all. Earth Travellers mantra is to keep things simple, meaning that when you book a trip with ET you are booking with Jay, Pete and an extraordinary team of guides. Each ET guide is hand picked for their outstanding skill level, knowledge and personality. They are local to the country you’ve chosen to travel which is paramount when ensuring an authentic experience. The other unique quality of ET tours is that there is a very good chance you will see Jay and/or Pete on your trip. They own, operate, call, email, text, listen, guide, cook, clean and do windows…not because they have to but because they love to. They take ‘hands-on’ to a whole new level. If they are going to share their passion, isn’t it best that they do it in person!?

We have had the privilege to travel the earth to extraordinary places and experience life altering moments. Not everyone has the opportunity to Leave Home and share in these amazing journeys, so we’d like to help. We are going to offer selected trips to those who, because of life circumstances, have been unable to travel. All you have to do is join our mailing list or check our website for our Leave Home contest and then, in a short video or in 250 words or less, tell us why you would like to Leave home and become an Earth Traveller. The winner of the contest gets a FREE TRIP to one of our amazing destinations.
